On a vacuum assist fuel pump, which hose barb goes to the windshield wipers - the one closest to the water pump, or the one on the outside, furthest from the water pump?

On my car the inside one ( closest to engine center ) is windshield and outside ( closest to fender) is to intake manifold. Pete
