HELP!
I've been looking in the Forum Archive for the chart Ted Eaton posted some time ago that he uses as a guide in determining the maximum dynamic compression ratio for an engine build to permit a given octane rating without detonation problems.
I've searched the words 'dynamic compression' and 'octane needed' with no success after picking through 25 archive pages of each.
While an engine's 'static compression ratio' is often indicated, my understanding is that the dynamic compression ratio determines the maximum static compression ratio I can use for a street and highway purpose vehicle.
Thanks for the help.
