Hi Gents, it's me again with another dumb question.. Anyone know what the original carb jet sizes were on a 55 292 engine with a four barrel? Just the primaries is all I need.

Thanks

Jim

Most of the teapots I've seen had #52 jets sizes in the front.Smile

Jim:

For '55 teapots there are three possible carbs used.  All three are jetted differently.  Also, the altitude of the intended location of the car makes a difference.  What are the letters stamped in the back of the carb, such as ECJ or ECK, and a suffix letter?  All will have a 9510 stamped between the prefix and suffix letters.

John & Supreme Being;

Thanks for the replies. I have two carbs that I'm working on:

1) ECK 9510-C-991-1

2) ECK 9510-H-1074

My elevation is 2200 ft

Thanks

Jim

Jim:

The ECK-C would have had #53 primary, #78 secondary jets for up to 5000 ft.  The ECK-H would have had #50 and #86 for the same elevation.
