I have a '57 Ford Tudor Ranch Wagon with 292 Y-block and Fordomatic trans. I need to find the two springs that work in conjunction with the accelerator bell crank assembly on the car: (1) the long, vertical spring that extends from the bell crank assembly down the firewall toward the accelerator pedal, and (2) the shorter, stronger spring that fits on the side of the bell crank assembly. I haven't been able to find them at any of the usual suppliers. Does anyone know a source for these springs? Thank you, Ron

Check Mac's or any supplier of parts as they are usually easily to find. If not, the TBird suppliers have them, not sure if the sedan are the same. I see the springs on page 121 of mac's catalog (2013-2014) 1949-59

Paul: I looked through my Mac's catalog (2013) before I posted this question and saw the springs on page 121 you're talking about. Problem is they only list one spring for the '57 and it's for a car equipped with a 312 with manual transmission (my '57 wagon has a 292 with Fordomatic trans). I've been told that it's important to get the correct "strength" spring, otherwise the accelerator pedal won't work or feel right. I'm hoping to hear from someone who's already been through this and can let me know where they found their springs. Thanks, Ron
