Hi
I was woundering what kind of material and state the aftermarket rocker arms shaft are made from?.
I have a friend that told me he made new shafts to his 292 from 20mm (1"=25.4mm) induktion hardened and hard chromed shafts ( ready to buy in the steel hardware store). Then i drilled out the centre and made the oiling holes. Reamed out the stock rockers to fit with the tolerances of the shaft....
Sound like a bulletproof solution....
But what are the stock shafts made from and how are the heat treated?
