The 352 carb will bolt on the 292 engine and assuming the carb is in a runable condition, will run okay on the 292. If it's the larger sized two barrel, then top end performance will likely pick up as well. Many of the pickup 292 two barrel carbs had the 1.02" venturi which was very limiting in performance after 4400 rpms. As has been brought up, any carb that has set for awhile may need some work before putting any fuel back into it. Pulling the top off the carb and taking a quick look in the bowl area will give you a good idea if the carb needs a complete disassembly before you even try to use it.
