Fuel pump question ???

On my 57 T-Bird 312 there's 2 small holes on the side of my fuel pump. These are spraying a fine mist of either oil or gas when I rev it up. Is this normal or is my pump fixing to go bad? Thanks!

Your fuel pump is going bad.  Those visible holes are simply vents to help relieve the pressure of the diaphragm as it goes up and down.
