just purchased a yblock engine for my 1960 ford f100 short wide truck, the block numbers are EDB6015-A and EDB DIF on back of block, the heads are ECZ-C and have 312 EJP on front of heads as well, it has a transmission with it also has T98-148 D224 on top and T98 10 WG DIV on side, can anyone tell me what I have? any info is well appreciated

Airman;

I had the T-98 tranny in my 56 F-100 longbed. They are a 4 speed trans with NO syncro's to first gear. You have to be completely stopped before putting the trans in first. Also called a "granny" gear or "creeper" gear, they were typically used around the farm for chores so your have to ride the clutch all the time. I don't know any of the gear ratios, but if you get a 56 Ford Truck shop manual, all that info is in there.

hey guys thanks for the info, I just broke transmission loose from engine, I will keep you all posted on the project as im sure I will need your experience to get me through this lol
