Marked in red. I seem to remember these holes are into the water jackets block and head are helpful. But I don't know why

Also if you look below the lower steam hole you see two more holes off to the side of the head stud. Wonder what that is for.

Here is a link to a past thread regarding the ‘steam’ holes. In most instances, I prefer to plug them on the blocks that do have them.
