Reusing cam bearing

Well after putting my engine all back together and not getting oil the the right side I believe it may be the cam bearing was installed where one of the holes is being blocked.
First question if the#3 cam bearing is installed wrong would I be able to reuse it once it is taken off and install it correctly.
Second question with engine all together and oil in it what is the best and least tear down method to pull the cam out to check the #3 cam bearing can I get to it to knock out the bearing with the crank and Rods down there or will they have to come out also.
Any advice would help thanks.

Removing the cam bearing and reusing it has been done.  If the cam bearing comes out undamaged and reinstalls tightly in the cam bore, then you will be good to go.  The engine really does need to be completely disassembled though to insure that the cam bearing holes are indeed aligned with the holes in the block. If having to tear the short block assembly completely down, then I would consider deepening the center cam journal groove and/or installing a groove on the backside of the bearing.  On the Y engines I put together, I machine the necessary groove in the center cam hole.
