Back in the late 60s I did in my 1956 crown Victoria. Since I felt that was a mistake I have put it back original and I feel it looks a whole lot better by far! Here again the crowns interior looked good to begin with and I feel it's hard to beat what the factory did anyway.

Friend of mine restored his 56 Vicky & installed some type of GM bucket seats. For the console he used a mid 60's Falcon unit. End result was a good looking interior. The Falcon console fits in there like it was made for it. Only problem is finding a good one at a reasonable price.

I'm in the process of installing buckets out of a Chrysler Sebring convertible. Why? Because they have the 3-point seat belts built into the seat backs and they fold to allow passengers in and out of the back seat without strangling them. I'll try to post some pics when I get in done. I'll worry about a console after I get the seats in. Column shift so no real need for a console with a shifter opening.

I installed a set of '60 T-Bird seats in a '56 Vicky back in the late '60s. Worked ok. Did not use the console.

I have 4 sets of early 60's T bird bucket seats, 2 sets are powered. $150 a seat for the powered, $75 for the non.

I took my seats out of an early 2000's Sebring. I pulled mine from a "Pick N Pull" lot. I have looked at newer model Sebring's and would suggest seats from 2008 or newer models. They have a nicer trim design in how the seats fold. I'm still in the fabrication process but will take pics and try to write some information to go with the pics in a post. The Sebring has a manually adjustable passenger seat and a power driver's seat. I measured the distance from the front of the seat to the dash with the stock bench seat to try and get any idea where I needed to place the buckets. I took these measurements with the stock bench bolted in place and when the seat was both completely forward and back. The Sebring seats have a longer travel distance. Plus, when the seats are in the forward position there is somewhat of a trip hazard with the seat rails because the rails are exposed. I'm not sure how to address this but rear seat passengers need to be made aware of this hazard when exiting from the back seat. I don't think the rails of the bench seat were exposed. the reason I chose the Sebring seats was because I wanted the 3-point seat belt. Serbians, and some BMW convertibles have the 3-point seat belt built into the seat and allow the seat to be folded forward to gain access to the back seat. I haven't seen many other models that offer this feature. I am also trying to use the original mounting points as much as possible so I can maintain the Federally approved design integrity. I don't plan to be inspected by any Federal Agency but you never know. Plus, I want to be safe in case of an accident.
