Oil filter adapter leaks. Oil filter adapter to spin on filter leaks had put on years ago. Started leaking bought new adapter plate and gasket still leaks

I would look for a crack in the adapter plate  (mine cracked after years of over tightened oil filters) or make sure the gasket between the adapter plate & block is good. Look for tears or a misaligned gasket. Good luck!

When placed on a flat surface the center hole should be up about 1/16" from surface so that when it is secured in place much force will be exerted upon the gasket

Tip ; Use contact cement to glue the o ring to the plate before offering it up to the block.
