Well…They're pretty much all the same.  Get one rebuilt and go from there.

You didn’t state what application your vehicle is but that EBV-D timing cover is the very early timing cover design using the smaller water pump and the 5/16-18 bolts for fuel pump retention.  Starting in 1955, the timing covers accommodated a larger water pump design and the fuel pump went to 3/8-16 retaining bolts.  While I don’t know of any sources for a rebuilt ‘1954 era’ water pump, some of the water pump rebuilders may be able to fix you up if you have a core.

The other solution to this is simply change out the timing cover to a 1955 and later style while also changing out the fuel pump to the later style also.  Once you do this, then there are two basic water pumps for the 1955 and newer Y engines excluding the pumps with the high mount for the fan pulley.  The cars had a 5/8” pilot or shaft while the later pickups and trucks used a ¾” pilot for the pulleys.  If you go this route, then you will just need to make sure you get the pump that matches up to your water pump pulley.

Going in my 1960 f100, I got the motor from craigslist, so I'll try to find a earlier pump

I have a fresh new 239 smaller style pump in the box if someone is looking for one.
