I have no idea what carburetor is on my 57 292, I have a feeling it was frankensteined. Runs OK but auto choke is bad, and sometimes engine dies when I stop. Will a Holley 7448 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Holley-Carburetor-350-CFM-Maunal-Choke-7448-C-Factory-Remanufactured-/231383483318) work without modification, except of course I will need to go to manual choke? If you have a better place to buy a carb for my Ranchero please post.

If it is not the carb for your vehicle, then you can expect to have to tune it at the very least and other aspects may not work easily.
You might be able to pick up a remanufactured unit locally. You can also buy brand new holley 2 barrels but you'll probably have some tuning and maybe fuel line rearrangement to do.

you could als try holleys ebay store,i heve had good results frome them.have a 500cfm on my 57292 workes perfect

I was unable to find a Holley 57292. they have a 0-4412C which looks like the 2 bbl for a Ranchero. is this the same thing?

my poor typing ,just look for a holley 4v carb and pick a450 to 550 cfm carb they ar usually warranty carbes repaired and have new warrante.. i am asuming you have a 4v manifold. if you have a 2v then look for what is avail in 2vs. sorry for the poor spelling and typing errors. cliff

a 350 holley should work fine on your 57.you can get one with auto choke if thats what you want.
