On a 63 f100 with a 292 a air cleaner or oil bath?

I think that somewhere about 1958 they started using dry filter as standard equipment and oil bath was optional. That continued as long as I remember. So it's really just your preference, either is correct.

The cars got paper filters in 1957. I assume the trucks got it then or shortly after.
