Hello,
Thank you in advance to anyone that can help.

I have a 1958 ford Fairlane with a 292. Code on my intake manifold is ecg9425H two barrel. I want to find a four barrel intake to fit this vehicle, so i can place a four barrel carb, without losing bolt patterns etc...pleaaassseee help.novice mechanic.

Your best bet is a ECZ 9425 B manifold. You are then open to a lot of easy swap carb options.

Has anyone used an ECB-9425-B with a 4 barrel adapter with any luck.   What would be the difference between an ECZ-9425-B and an ECB-9425-B with an adapter?

Henry; best post your request to buy a manifold under the Classified section of this site..
40 Desoto; The ECZ -B intake is the later 1957intake. The earlier 4 Bbl intakes work o.k. at the low end, with a  proper fitting adaptor, but don't have the flow capacity of the later "B" intake.

The ECZ-B four barrel intake is essentially a bolt on when dealing with 1955 and newer Y heads.  Here’s the link to an engine build article showing some of the performance modifications performed to an ECZ-B intake that went into a 1956 Victoria.  The intake information is about 2/3’s of the way down in the article.

If looking to purchase one of these manifolds, then posting an ad in the classifieds on this site will possibly put you in touch with someone that has one for sale.
