In process of installing some ford powertrain headers and I am in need of the proper wires to replace the old ones I have . Obviously they will ne to withstand some heat and the wires will touch parts of the headers. I can wrap them but rather not. any thought greatly appreciated. Earl in NC

I don't know that any plug wires will withstand direct contact with the header.  Spark plug boot heat shields are available.

I've been using a custom set of Pertronix 8mm wires.  They've held up well.  I've never had them in direct contact with the header.

Brain death attacks again. I never thought of heat shields. Thanks for the jump start. Earl in NC

Here's an example, if your not familiar with the type of heat shields I'm speaking of.
