The oil pipe from the pan to the pump is leaking at the  pipe junction to the pump.  I want to replace that large o ring.  Can the pump stay in place if I loosen up the pipe at the pan or is best to remove the pump.  Doing an oil change so no oil in the pan at this time.
Thanks in advance

You will have to remove either the pump or the oil pan if I remember correctly.

Take care when installing the new seal, that it goes in straight & seats properly or it will leak again.

First see if the nut simply needs to be tightened.

Don't over tighten that jamb nut it will make it worse.. Just check and see if its loose as suggested and do it a little bit at a time . The Felpro bottom end kit is cheap from Macs and its about $1. more than buying the small seal kit on its own..
