I have a Sun distributor tester model 506 which still works . Questions is, I do not believe I can check a distributor with a pointless ignition (i.e.pertronix). Does any body know the answer to this and is there a way to "adapt" the machine to do it. I would like to switch my two "Y" s to pertronix but not sure I want to if I can't set the distributors then. Suppose I could reinstall the points to check the advances. I have looked all over the internet to find info on the sun tester but without luck. I have the instruction manuals. repair manuals etc, but they were all written before breakerless ignitions came about. Thanks for any info you have. POP

If they activate the coil, they'll work, points or not.
