I have a leak somewhere on my power steering unit on my Ford Fairlane V8 272, I have had the seals replaced in the jack and pressure tested and supposedly it's fixed but I still have a leak and I have already paid out pretty good money to find the leak to no avail, is there some kind of dye that can be added to pump fluid that would show exactly where the leak is ? , i'm still suspecting the seal on the pump..

What did you use for fluid? You should not use "Power Steering Fluid" but auto trans fluid (Type F is ok). In the early Ford systems, the use of "Power Steering Fluid", because of its composition, will find any nook and cranny so it leaks.

I'm in the coal fields so if it's hydraulic and a hose hooks to it. It's a jack.

I use Mercron. Its recommended for the transmission so it shares. So you aren't seeing any drips or wet spots on the floor anywhere? I did a complete system rebuild a few years ago including the slave cylinder. Had a tiny irritating leak. Turned out to be where the two hoses attach to the the control valve. The seats in the valve were a bit rough. Cleaned them up and the leak has been gone for years.

Have to back up on the fluid type I have used, the container is ATF not F, what's the difference.
