I am going to (by summer) I hope to install, disc brakes on my bird. ($ issues). I have a master cylinder dual reservoir type to install now. My question is would it be ok to install the master cylinder now before I do the brakes? I have new line and all that already to install. I have time to install the master cylinder now and just need to know others thoughts on this. Thanks

The standard drum brake master should have a residual pressure check valve in it to keep minimum line pressure for the wheel clinders. The return springs force fluid back through the line.Disc brake master has no check valve because there is nothing to push calipers back and fliud back through line.In my opinion I would say no you cant use the new master right now.Anyone else with an opinion?
