Y-guys: Looking at epay today and they have a very unique intake/carb set-up. Glenn, it's down in your neck of the woods. Bill

Is it the 2-4s that wants a starting bid of 6 g's?

If you are talking about the Merc intake, it belongs to John Wilson, just one of the interesting Y Block items that he has. I know that he bought alot of stuff at Smokey's Garage Sale years ago. I don't know if this is something that he picked up down there or not, but I do know that he has tons of Y Block stuff plus a super nice 57 Custom and a 57 bird.

Interesting piece. The money makes me feel good, maybe my genuine '56 Ford 260 horse setup is worth maybe half that much? I hope Snowbird is successful, but some statements make me feel that potential buyers may be skeptical. Nearly every statement starts with "I'm told", but no reference to any source. Also, the statement, "I'm told it is not 100% correct" may discourage a buyer. I hope not. John in Selma, IN

I've been up to John's place a few times and he has shown me some very interesting stuff before, but I have not seen this piece before. It maybe that he is selling this for someone else since he keeps referring to "I've been told". I do know that even though he is getting up in years now, that he keeps in contact with a lot of the old time Y Blockers in GA. By the way John and his wife went on there honeymoon in a new 57 Ford Custom, and he has been a 57 ford and yblock guy since then. I don't have a clue what this thing is worth, but it sure is pretty.

Oldmics: Seems you've made that request before. Actually, I'm thinking of re-installing it on my '56 Bird since my wife can no longer drive it because of her knee and hip problems. She "requested" I take it off years ago after she set it on fire--twice. I never had a problem with it. Think I'll take the FMX out and put the T85-OD back in too. Just one more project. John

The eBay lister says he also has an M260 cam, not part of the auction, it would be interesting to know what the profile is and any markings on the cam...like the part number and manufacturer.
