Everyone in this forum seems to be more knowledgeable and willing to help those of us that are less experienced. Could someone tell me or steer me to find out where to find measurements to determine how much has been machined off cyclinder heads. These are '57 eczg. Thank you. I am located in central Florida.

This is a very easy thing to check with the heads off the engine. There are 4 machined bosses along the spark plug side of the head. From the factory these bosses were exactly 1.000" thick from the mating surface of the head to the top of the Boss. So if the heads have been milled they will be less by the amount milled. For example if the bosses measure 0.960 then the heads have been milled 0.040"
