Joe,
Got no replies from my direct e-mail inquiries. You still have the T-Bird distributors?

I only have 55 distributors left. No inquiry from you was received. I just sent myself a test message by clicking on the link in the post and it was successful immediately. Please try again and I will send info and pictures. Thank you. J

Joe,
Clicked on your link again, but if you did not get the other e-mails, I'm not optimistic (maybe your spam filter is set too high?).
Send photos/info re: 55 distributors to: dantinh62@kconline.com

Joe, Can I have any lifters you have please? My camshaft wore a lobe out, and the lifter is damaged too. I only need the one, but a whole set would be perfect. Im in England.

Paul, I know there is a tendancy to save money on things like cams and lifters but you would be smart to avoid it. I've found that scrimping on some parts only costs you more in the long run. There are some new lifters on the market that are pure trash(poor hardening). I suggest you call John Mummert and get a price for a new set of his lifters and consider a warmed up cam from him at the same time. His web site is: http://www.ford-y-block.com/ John will not steer you wrong! Chuck in NH

I appreciate the advice Chuck. Sadly everything comes down to price. I'm only a poor bus driver. I don't want a warmed up cam as performance is not what I'm looking for. Reliability is all I want. I drive my Mercury to shows and generally like an old lady around local roads etc. I dont intend to blast along. The lifters without cam ($219) or with ($189) are too expensive for me right now. Especially considering postage to me in the UK is not cheap either. My current lifters are in good condition except one. If I can get hold of one good one from somewhere, that would be great.

How thick is the "foot" on your lifters? There are some cast and some steel ones out there. Makes a difference to the pushrod length. I have a can full and you are welcome to one. I also have a used cam that "looks" useable but no guarantee. You can have them both for the shipping. Lifters can be reground but they have a special shape to the foot (not flat) to make the pushrods rotate. Specs are on the site here somewhere. Takes a decent machine shop to do them right. I have the set of lifters - pay for shipping and they are yours. Try contacting me directly at not4winter@yahoo.com for info, pictures, dimensions, and to make arrangements. Spam filters may not allow your message through, so if in a day or two there is no reply from me, please post your e-mail address on this form and I will contact you. I agree with the other posts that used lifters & cam may not be the best way to go, but many have had no problems doing this. J
