Hi! i am collecting parts for a 292 build for a light weight fenderless truck, 5 speed manual hot rod. I just picked up a set of new Barkers rocker arms for the intakes. does anyone have info on them such as ratio , quality ?

I don't know anything about them but I find it interesting. I'm not familiar with the company, I lived in Glendale from 1959-1969 just a few blocks from the address. I had no idea someone made HI LIFT rockers, but looking at the paper work it says Glendale 4, thats pre ZIP code so these are really early pieces.

For the rocker ratio, this was a crude way to do it but I printed out the picture and simply measured from the shaft center hole to the estimated outside contact points. I came up with a 1.53:1 rocker ratio. Part of the ambiguity in doing this was in estimating where the rocker adjuster stud was going to be.

I am still ahead because they are better then my galled up 1.43s, and cheaper than new 1.54s

Those rockers are for intake and exhaust or if you want intake only.

I’m measuring off of a picture and guessing at the adjuster location so there’s going to be a given amount of error. With all that going on, I’m surprised I even came up with the number that I did. But in the grand scheme of things, these rockers are better than the 1.43:1 rockers and especially if you are just trying to upgrade from some worn out oem rockers.

I have a y-block engine that has rocker arms that has the number 70 on one side and the letter A on the other. That's the only markings that they have. Can anyone tell me anything about these rocker arms? Would they even be worth re-using? Thanks for any info.

I guess I am just wondering what kind of rocker arms these are, since they have no familiar identification stamped on them. Are they good ones, or are they foreign made and probably inferior? I am planning to rebuild the engine and would like to know exactly what I am working with. Does anyone have any idea what these rocker arms are? Thanks.
