272 Over bore

I have a good 57 272 block and also a set of 292 +.060 pistons. Will this block safely bore this far to use these pistons?  Anyone see a problem with this setup?

Thanks for all input, this is going in a Hot Rod Edsel!

maybe, do a search for sonic test . only way to be sure.

I'd recommend a sonic test to be on the safe side. I checked one 292 truck block that was bored too a 312 bore > 3.80 and that was all it could stand. Then there are others that can go bigger, go figure?

I got this 272 motor for the " G '' heads.  I will just find a 292 block to complete this project.  I am in the Denver area and 292's show up now and then in the classifieds.

Still a good idea to Sonic test if you bore anything.
