Bought a Guide spotlight at the swap meet yesterday, it had a mirror on it was kind of decent, and that's all I wanted. Looking for the web site if there is one? or are they out of business. I would like to just ID the brackets. It was in a parts barrel not much good but brackets and a good housing. Thanks Gerry

My wife's Dad worked at the Guide Lamp Division of GM until he retired in the early '70s.  Plant was in Anderson, Indiana, is now torn down, I think.

Gerry:

I would guess that Guide made aftermarket spotlights for many models, maybe before they were absorbed by GM.  A lot of the GM divisions started as private companies that got an offer from big manufacturers and took the money and ran.  Still happens today, but sadly a lot of the money comes from outside our shores.

It's not a complete light no glass or retainer ring but if someone needs parts switch or head that needs plating let me know. I have a picture to send.  Gerry

The spotlights that I remember had sealed beam lamps.  If it is a bulb type lamp, it must be a very old light.

You are right it had at one time a seal beam. It had nothing in it when I found it, just a mirror I want to install on my UNITY ligh. Gerry
