Does anyone know if a truck oil pan will work on a stock 55-57 T-Bird (with power steering)? We are using a truck pan on our T-Bird racer, but it does not have P/S and motor mounts are not stock.

David, Because your mounts are different it would be hard to say not knowing the height of the engine in the car.?

If it is the stock ht. or close to it I would say have to say No. the tbird pan is pretty thin up front, to allow for the front crossmember. But hey tbird pans or only about 350 to 400 if you can find one!! Wink

O course, i guess you could modify a truck pan to fit, cause its a rear sump. while your at it add some on the sides for extra capacity. you've got about a week left.BigGrin

Hi Al,

Just got off the phone with you and decided to come in and see if I could figure out how to get hooked up on the forums and I guess I was successful.
