Removed T bird damper, and 1 inch spacer behind water pump, found a passenger car damper but have not installed it yet.  Now it looks like power steering pump adjusting bracket is too long, is the bracket from the T bird the same as passenger car? Also which water pump pulley do I need, and which generator bracket? Already changed to front sump oil pan, whats next?

You'll need passenger car PS pump brackets, generator brackets, water pump pulley, and thermostat housing.  Did you take the front engine mount off while the damper is off?

Thanks John,  Already got tstat housing and gen. brackets, still looking for wp pulley and ps pump brackets.  Do you know if truck Y block wp pulley is same as car? Yes I did remove front motor mount. Thanks again.

Some trucks have 3/4" water pump shafts, cars and some trucks have 5/8".  I don't know if the truck offset is the same as car or not.  More than Fords use the same flange bolt pattern, so if you can find a salvage yard with a bin of WP pulleys, look for one with the offset and bolt pattern and diameter you need.

The waterpump offsets for truck and car are the same with either size shaft.

I think John is right on this.  I have a 3/4" truck pump and a 5/8" car pump.  I compared the two years ago and seem to remember a 1/4" difference in something.  I'll try to remember to look at it later today.

I replaced my truck 3/4 shaft pump with a rebop pump.  Same offset.
