Anyone took their front mount off and drive around without it? Anything bad happen from it?

lots of owners have removed it without any problems. However, I left mine on when I installed a 312 in my 54 Ford. Just wanted the extra stability.

They are not necessary. Ford quit using them in 57.

its not just the fact you dont need them the dam things are in the way of a lot of things.

Put my 56 Customline back together without the front mount a couple years ago and have had no problems thus far.

I removed mine when upgrading the transmission 5 years ago. I still have the factory shields.
