Anyone used the 3G Alt from a 2000’s Taurus with any of the alt/compressor brackets from vintage air or classic air?
Or what did you use for a 3g alt and a Sanden compressor under it?

not very good at this. but may be of interest.
I cut the vintage air bracket and welded part to the front engine mount then bolted on the remainder.
did not like spacers and extra long bolts.

I liked the VA mounts. I used a Powermaster 100 amp alternator (the CASCO t-Bird unit I had would not fit) which fit the first crank pulley and water pump. The Sanden AC comp went to the second crank pulley and I spaced the PS to the third. All have been trouble free for almost 2 years. The newer compressors have very little drag on the engines. I did not use a VA unit in the car.
