DIFFERENT FROM PASS OR TRUCK?????>>>>>>>>>>3.WHY IS STAT HOUSING ON 55-57 BIRDS DIFFERENT FROM PASS/TRUCK??????IS IT BECAUSE RADIATOR INLET IN DIFFERENT PLACE?????THANKS FOR ANY INFO ON THIS. BYE. 1) read where these engines had less compression, displacement & horse power and therefore less shock or vibration coming from the crankshaft and balancer/dampner not needed. Don't know if that is true or not.
2) longer as stated and also T-birds have a thick or deep timing cover the water pump mounts on extending the front of the engine a couple of inches
3) straight as stated - the top of radiator is nearly level with the t-stat housing
