This is a very good site for Yblockers to be aware of especially in the "Gil's Garage" area.  For example he has instructions about how to check out a Pertronix module on a Sun distributor machine which I think was a subject discussed recently in the technical section of this site. There are also instructions about using a P&G valve gapper there.

Some of the information will be very specific to T birds and is intended to separate the very best show cars.  But a lot if the info is pretty useful to all who are interested in the Y

Doug's right AND even tho I'm no purist I still belong to the club.

For one thing they publish a book for owners with accurate photographic detail of very specific assembly for the various years. It's actually for restorers trying to remain original BUT it's good for me to know how they were new as a point of reference and it's fascinating to see what FORD mechanics did on the assembly line!

You usually find out that they weren't as detailed as the show cars today!

Lots of tried and true info for the y's from people who have owned them since new.
