Y-Guys    Would there be any advantage to adding depth to my oil

pan to give a little more capacity. When my (292 F100) engine

gets about 1/2 qt low, the oil pressure gauge will fluctuate more

          than normal.

I'm about to build a little more performance 292 and I heard

this should help in that area also.  Suggestions????

                                 Thx Bill

I put a gate in my pan.  This prevents the oil from rushing out of the pickup area when you come to a stop.  It has worked great.

Some truck pans came with a baffle while others did not.  Adding a baffle, if yours has none, will help.  I think a deeper, higher capacity pan is not necessary for the street.

The eariler non-baffled truck pans are terrible.  Even a moderate stop on a downhill can send your oil gauge charging to zero.
