I received a phone call last evening from Lon and Lynne Argent from Australia. Just wanted to wish me a Merry Christmas! Just goes to re-affirm the fact that I am truly blessed to have such a great circle of friends. The website is coming up on it's fourth birthday in just over a month, and four years ago today I didn't know all of you.

As Bob Martin put it in a recent letter, the racing at Columbus is really secondary to the "family" get together. Bob said something to me when the site was only a few days old that I really laughed at then, he said "This site will become the crossroads for Y-Block people all over the world." Because of all of your activities and input, that has become a reality. That is not Jim's doing, I only provide the place for you to come to. Stop and think of the newbies that have gotten on here not knowing which end of a screwdriver to grab (myself included), you guys that are so knowledgable have taken them by the hand and walked them through what to do step by step in a language that they could understand, but not at all talking down to them. We have several Y-Block powered vehicles on the road today because of that "knowledge sharing".

As I look to this next year, I can't even imagine what will happen. Who would have thought that we would have two eight second cars in our midst? And one of them will be in the sevens this year without any doubt. We see more aftermarket things specifically for our engines being manufactured, what's next? Will we ever really see aluminum heads? Hard to say, but is still a good possibility. I have been working with a friend over the last few months on some ideas that will enhnce the look and functionality of the website in general. Since I am not a programmer, I am having to be patient as the design is built. Once that is done, I will be totally recreating all profiles, etc. We will gain the ability for you to enter a profile totally online, upload pictures to the site via your web browser, even upload articles. Too many other neat things will be happening to list here, but you will like them.

Our daughter and b/f should be here soon for Christmas so I will just wish everyone a blessed and safe Christmas and hope to see many new faces in Columbus in September.

And a big THANK YOU, Jim, for giving us a street corner to gather at and share our lives and share information.  All the best to you and your family this holiday, no, CHRISTMAS season.

Jim,

I discovered your site two years ago. I'm like a lot of forum members, just trying to bring back part of my youth. In my youth I was the proud owner of a 56 Sunliner "P" code. Now I'm busting my knuckles on a great old "P" code Club Sedan. Without the help of Ted, John and other members, I would not be where I am today. The 312 is running fine, soon to have an "E" code manifold with some additional mods. Body is done, a clone of your fine 56. Interior is being done as of this writing. Excitment builds toward my first real cruise. It's comforting to know their are others infected with this "y" desease.

The members on this site really care about the preservation of these great old cars. What a trip! I hope to meet all of you in the future. I wanted to take a moment to say, "THANKS" for all of the wonderful information and the support. I have arrived at home back in Ford Y Land!

Happy New "Y"ear to all !

Keep on "Y"ing

I concur in praising Jim for all his efforts. He is VERY much appreciated! (I would crawl through hot coals to talk Y-blocks).

My love affair started the day a friends' mother gave him some money, sent him to get new mufflers installed on her '55 272, and he came back with GLASSPACKS. She was definitely NOT happy, but when I heard that music, I was HOOKED!

This is indeed a great forum.  Jim keeps it going, everyone brings up topics and Ted, John and others lend their experience.  Met Ted thru this and then at Birdapaloosa.  Now converse directly ... like yesterday.  1st time I heard the intake gaskets are left and right specific.

I now know I like it even more but fear additional post will changed my "Junior Member" status.  Imagine that I love going to Shrine events and being called "Young Feller" and on here I am a "JUNIOR Member".  WOW, 59 and I am young and junior.  Ain't it great?

Happy New Year to all.

I don't feel like a junior ANYTHING right now! Oh well, keeps the Chiropracter busy.

Jim..

This site reminds my Brother and I about the meeting of Ford rodders and some scrub drivers meeting at the Big Boy parking lot corner of Walnut and Eden Park Blvd.. to head out to Rt48, or Pittsburgh International, or Keystone... There too did we make friends for a life time..

Again.. Thanks

Jim.

As has been said you do a lot for the preservation of the Y and we are glad that you do.  I thank you for the time you spend to keep the site going. Would like to thank all that help when trouble comes to our Y blocks. There is much knowledge here thanks to all.  "Gerry"

I'd like to echo what Gerry said.
