I have a customer with a '55 Thunderbird (I was looking for a distributor for him earlier) and in the five or so years the car has been apart he has misplaced the damper/pulley. My question is, I have a damper/pulley of a '57 F-100 will this work for him? He says all it drives is a generator with one belt.

Nooop. TBird Dampers are like the Distributor he is looking for -unique and therefore spendy. He needs to find the 500-600 dollar one he misplaced! OR Start lookin' for one for around that much. I hope you find one cheaper. Looks like this…

If all else fails, SnowBird on eBay, (John Wilson of Tallachee, Alabama) used to make a Fluidamper T'Bird setup, for somewhat less than the OE's will cost.
