Thought it would be interesting to see how our families support the hobby around Christmas. As for me, I got a NOS set of Cruiser skirts for my 56 Victoria. Still in the original box with all the hardware and chrome trim! They are even the narrow type that look better on a 56. Wow, maybe there really is a Santa! Chuck in NH

I got a Moroso cylinder head fixture. It works fine with the "Y" head. Should make chamber grinding/polishing/CC'ing operations a lot easier.

Chuck and Dan: It's obvious Santa started on the east coast, then across the northern part of the US to northern Indiana, and by the time he got to central Indiana he was all out of Y stuff. Closest I came was a case of oil, which is not specific to Ys. Congratulations on your Christmas presents. John

Seems like he ran out before getting to the southeast, too.

Merry Christmas to all, I actually got a pair of really nice floor mats for my car,so I guess that Santa made it to my part of the country. I hope all have had a Merry Christmas, and will continue to enjoy a very good new year. God Bless all, and be well. Jan

Say, doesn't Santa go to Australia first because of the time difference? I'll bet the aussies cornered Santa and took the Y stuff.

I got a new set of wrenches. Does that count as Y block stuff?

55Birdman (12/26/2008) I got a new set of wrenches. Does that count as Y block stuff?I got more wrenches too! And the first thing they will touch is a "Y" so I do think that counts. I'm going to need more tool box now, my B-day isn't till April.

ok, so I got some tools too. And I got my engine and fresh aod trans install done today with the newly added finned valley cover, nested under the rare "red" thunder aluminum intake. Gonna start it in the morning and see if THIS tranny stays together!
Almost forgot, check out the new air cleaner with yblock emblem. (Duplicate of the one on the glovebox.)

Looks SWEET! Here's a picture, or two, of the '55 T-Bird engine I'm working on, should have the new dizzy and balancer next week. Alan, I'm looking forward to some more pics of your engine bay.

Well.............all I got for Christmas was a lump of coal. So, I put it in the shop stove and heated the place a little while I worked on the race truck! Did Tim say he was bringing the new crank over today! There is a Santa after all!!! Happy holidays to all..........

I made copies of an order page from my Concours Parts catalog, penciled in about 3 pages and handed it over to the Mrs last month in front of the whole family and just said... "here's my list if anyone cares..." got the following: chrome V emblem for the trunk lid, complete with plastic insert... weatherseal for the trunk valve cover decals speaker for the dash radio AND finally got it started... few problems as discussed in the tech section of this forum... but, overall a great Christmas for the Ford this year (57 F500 Tudor, red/white, 272)... thanks for all the help guys, and best of the new year to each of you! Mark

I got some wrenches too. I got those that have an open end and a ratchet box end on the other end. I've wanted some for years but was too cheap to buy them. Also my nephew got me a wood plaque that has my car on it, a Ford blue oval (which my '56 does not have anywhere) and my town etc. for car shows. Ya just can't beat tools. Damn, a guy is soooo easy to buy for!
