Fellas, just picked up a B 4 barrel intake and a Holley (combo deal) for my Sunliner project. Can anyone identify this Holley?

list 1848-1

3039   H

There is a 107 stamped on the butterflies for the main jets.

Just wanting to know the cfm on this carb and maybe the original app

Dan, That's an old style 600cfm. You can verify this by going to Holley dot com and finding the list number section. LWinkook up the 1848 list numbers.

Frank, thanks for the info, I will go over to that site and check it out.

Don't you think that 600cfm is a little much for a stock 272? I do plan to put a set of C heads on at a later date, but I am thinking more like the Demon Jr for this Y...

I'm pretty sure that's not a 600 CFM but rather a 390 CFM or similar small Holley. Look on the googles for Holley List Numbers and you'll find several sites that will have the Holley list numbers.

I searched a couple of sights, inlcuding Holley's. I cannot find what the "3039" means, but the list number is for a 465cfm carb. What the original app would have been...who knows? Seems like an odd size cfm rating.

Daniel: I've seen a Holley application list somewhere, but it escapes me at the moment. However, I believe that approx size carb was a 57 -312 application.

Dan I have a 390 CFM on my 292 and its a good set up . I am not sure I would go bigger.

List 1848-1A application is for 1959-1960 Ford, Edsel, Tbird, 332 and 352 engines.

List 1848-1AAS application is for 1958-1961 Ford & Tbird, 332 and 352 engines and 1958-1960 361 engines.

And 465 cfm.

Ted's correct, 1848's are 465 cfm per Holley.
