Y-Guys      I have a Borg-warner T-5, in my '60 F100, that I'm trying to

replace the tail-housing bushing in. I've tried five bushings so far,

and the slip yoke "binds up" and will not slip in. I have a tool to

do this with and I've tried not to insert the bushing all the way in,

but the same problem arises. Three of the bushings are Nat#5202,

the other two were clevite that a friend at a transmission shop

said would work, but the same problem exists. I've tried heating

the tail-housing with a propane torch, and then inserting the bushing

          but, same outcome....   Suggestions

Maybe they are becoming out of round as they are driven in?

Do the bushings fit over the slip yoke before they are installed?

The tail housing is a die cast piece, and not very strong. If some one dropped something on it, it's possible that the thing is out of round. Second, try another yoke to be sure that's not the issue.
