Great story! I'd like to see the MGB and Tiger he made.  Smile

I'm partial to it!? Seen it for years in the mags.

Guess I need to buid some history into mine.

I read over the history and learned a couple interesting things about it I hadn't known before. I would like to see those heads and how they were done. It's pretty salty engineering on the Y with the cam / water intake and valve work.

The one write-up was pretty interesting.......plug the valve guides and "refit" the larger valves at a new spacing(!) and relieving the block (after lowering the top ring). The external water passsage set-up is definitely interesting....someone's thinking cap was set on "kill" for this toy....

Pretty foxy stuff for the average enthusiast.........and apparently way unexpected by the boys with the little plastic GM cars - I love it!

I enjoyed reading that Doane Spencer actually "prowled the streets using the the y block as a weapon" against corvettes.
