Many of you know Richard Gaston from his letters and articles in Y Block magazine.
Richard is quite ill, and some of us have gotten together to send him a few lines of encouragement and thanks for his support of the Y Block movement..

Ted: Richard should have the first card today. Bob sent it yesterday, priority mail. Let's keep sending messages to Bob,I'm sure he intends to put together more cards. We can also send them directly to Richard.

Richard passed away this afternoon, peacefully in his sleep.

Darn! Really sorry to hear that. He will be missed! Richard was such a fixture at the Y-Block shootout it will seem strange without him. I hope he's truly in a better place (no scrubs allowed). Prayers go out to his family. Chuck in NH

Sorry to hear the news .I just wish I had a video camera a couple of years ago at Columbus . Could have listened to him talk for hours .Some of the stories he told were amazing .All our prayers to his family . Lon & Lynne

My deepest condolences to Richard's Family, He will certainly be missed! I am just greatful that I had the privilledge of meeting Richard and hearing his stories! A Great part of Y-Block history has passed on, may he live forever in our hearts and memories!!!

Couldn't have said it better Rob. Richard was one heck of a GREAT GUY and will be missed alot!! I loved talking with him, listening to his great stories and believe me he had and lived them.
