There was a tri power set up on ebay, it didn't sell at 950.00, the carbs are holleys, and professionally redone, it has linkage and fuel bar, even air cleaners. I called him and he says 950.00 is his bottom price. Is it worth it?

That is an interesting intake manifold. It is not an Edelbrock which is normally considered the best ones although it looks to be better than the Offy.  It might be Fenton as they were closed between the runners as the picture shows but you usually can see the name.  The price sounds a little rich to me but with the air cleaners linkage and fuel block it is not outrageous these days.  Somebody from AIG could buy it in a heartbeat!

Mike, depends on how bad you want it. I believe it is worth it if three deuces is what you want.

The only thing I don't like about the setup is the manifold, looks like a Fenton (beside the ugly fuel log). An Edlebrock would be a better choice. Rebuilt 94's go for ~ $200 with a $85 core charge (Vintage Speed, http://www.vintagespeed.com) so that's close to what your paying for the whole setup.

Now if the carbs were three Stromberg 97's I'd jump on it in a minute!!

Others will disagree because they say you can get better performance from a single four barrel (and cheaper too)... maybe... I'm not here to argue. But, if you want the LOOK of three deuces...

OK let the fireworks begin.

Mike - that photo looks like it shows the ports being the smaller variety (early years) of head/intake matchup.

My opinion - you could do better. I would question the "professionally" redone carbs. You could get a nicer manifold, buy your carbs separately and have them redone, get your linkage for $50 from Speedway (its an OFFY part repop) and get a good fuel log from them to boot. Air cleaners are very plenteous, and there are good deals out there. You wouldn't have to spend that much ($950) to have a nice setup -- and you would be assured of what you had.

My two cents...

Once again, thanks guys, I see what you mean about the manifold difference. I guess since i am getting married in vegas on the 9th, I really shouldn't spend the $.

Todays Progress: Nice tank, but the sender was junk, Needed the xtra legroom and my tank in the cab was shot.

Edlebrock 573 is the best out there. #2 is Edlebrock 553. The rest are not good enough to match them. Edlebrocks are available and once in a while they are at decent prices. You can get the intake carbs linkage and fuel log for less than the $950 for this thing.  my 2c
