I live in Southern Illinois and have pretty easy access to Nashville, Memphis, St. Louis and Lousiville.  All within 2 to 3 hours.  Anyone know of a good Chrome plating shop in those areas?  If not who would you recommend if I have to ship stuff?

Rexbd, I checked all over for a price on a '56 Ford front bumper with no damage just a good job of chrome plating. Someone told me to contact Johnny Johnson at Souix Plating in Souix City. 800-228-8630, I called him and was very impressed. He gave me a "rough" price, gave me the address to ship to and I had it back in 29 days and about $5.00 less than he told me and that included shipping. It was about $150 less than anyone else. I'm very happy with the job they did. He did tell me not to fasten the bolts too tight that it would "break" the chrome. I would suggest them. Hope this helps.

Ive been using Pauls Chrome in PA for a while, and have been pretty happy with the results.  They document your parts very well to make sure nothing gets lost, etc.  Prices are pretty fair too.

Let me know if you need contact info.

Hi,  I have used TheChromeShop right there in you state. They are in Rock Island Illlinois. Ive had small parts done there before with real good results. I have some parts over there right now. Very Reasonable & easy to deal with............ Mike

I have sent several pieces to Terry Meetz in Brillion, WI. (his father does resto work and builds T-Bird conv. tops, etc.). Reasonable prices/turnaround time. Ph. 920 756 3284.

I have used Williamson's Plating and Polishing in Indianapolis.  They do great work.

Man, I have the best chromer in the world.  His pieces show up at all the auto shows including Detroit's Autorama.  Just messing around, I did a YouTube thing on a couple parts he chromed for my '55 Customline.  Everyone recognizes the hood bird, but check out the trunk bezel.  All these parts are original and have never been repopped.  First, here's my trunk bezel before Dynamic rechromed it:

Reminds me of a teenager with bad acne.

Dynamic Custom Plating is in Detroit.  You can either follow the link above, or ask me specifics.  This business is family-owned (second generation Italian men who take their business very seriously).  If you're not happy, they will do it until you are pleased at no extra charge.  Today, I got my newly chromed parts back for my 292 Y-Block.  I will show pictures in my web site, later.  - Dave Dare
