Would anyone have any info on which year and size y-block came with a two-barrel Holley Carb. with a clear glass float bowl? This motor was under a bench at that time, and the carb was all I could see. I was told it was a 292. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Charlie (central Fl.)

I wouldn't mind seeing that myself. I know they were available on the 223-6"s. Never saw one on a 2bll. carb. Michael

I’m aware of the glass sediment bowls hanging from the bottom of the fuel pumps but not of a glass bowl for the two barrel Holley. Like Michael mentions, the six cylinder engines were commonly supplied with a glass carburetor bowl but they were one barrel carbs. Here’s a blowup from the parts catalogue of the Holley two barrel float bowl which has a number of parts attached to it thus making it a difficult item to mass produce in glass form.

Ted and Michael, Thank you for your reply. There were 3 engines under a bench, covered with blankets. I was told that one was a 292 for $250.00. Had no time to look at it then. It's about 65 miles one way, will try to go over and look at it next weekend. I will get whatever #'s I can. Thank you, Charlie (central Fl.)

Charlie, if they are a glass bowl for a 2bll. Holley I'd sure be interested in one, I think that would be neat to watch while it was running. If you could possibly get soem pictures of it that would be great too. Michael
