Front bumper is showing signs of rust at bolt holes and on bottom edge where it has small pits. Need to do something fast to stop it. Should I rechrome or is there something on the market I can use to DIY? Thanks

Bird: Rust at the bolts is a fairly common problem. Often because the carriage style bolts are forced into the bumper bracket. First, check the bolts, the rust may be coming from them. It may be possible to use a rust preventative or converter on the bolts or under the edge of the bolts, if the bumper chrome is damaged. If the pits aren't to visible you may be able to dab some primer on the spots & then touch up with aluminum paint or similar that isn't readily noticeable. Re chroming is so expensive these days. It's your call.

Birdman ,

Unless its a full on show car ,I would be doing what Paul suggests . When it all boils down ,who will notice a couple of spots of silver paint on a chrome bumper anyway .That's my 2 cents worth ??
