Lon, Lon,

You make this too easy for me my friend! BigGrin

Seeing pictures of you being arrested is NO surprise, it was just a matter of time! The only question is was the arrest related to your driving (I have seen your driving ability) Smile or was it related to your cleptomaniac ways over Y-Block parts? Remember, Jim has photographic evidence of you removing parts from my 56 at Columbus. I'm sure the Aussie police would like to get a hold of those shots! Whistling Hey Jim, maybe you and I could could convince Lon to send us some high dollar Y parts to keep our mouths shut? Not that we would EVER consider blackmail! Wink

Rob,

More than likely it's an equipment violation, not Lon's equipment (don't go there) but the Vicky's. It's got the steering wheel on the wrong side!Tongue

Ok guys you started the thread now how about the infamous pictures? ChuckHehe
By LON - 18 Years Ago
That's what I get for telling too many Canadian jokes !!

How was I to know his mother was Canadian?? (Official Lie)

Sr. SGT Tim is one of the best cops you could wish to meet. It's a pity there isn't more around like him. Most of the cops today are too Politically Correct. He'a car nut like the rest of us. Only trouble is, he's into Mopars. Maybe I can convert him?

Chuck:

The pictures are on the home page, where the ads for Legendary Ford usually are.  I thought maybe Lon should have been thumped with a nightstick a couple of times to get his attention.  What do you think, Rob.

Any idea as to who put me up to this? I'll give you a hint, it was NOT anyone from Canada!
By pegleg - 18 Years Ago
Probably Lon wanting to show off his shorts. He's enjoying summer, shorts and sandals, We have 10" of snow forecast. I'm not wearing my bermudas outside today. And, Jim, I don't want to hear how it's 70 degrees in Texas.

Your right John, they should have used a billy club on him, but why wreck a perfectly good club! Tongue And Frank I don't know about you, but I didn't need to see those legs (I"M BLIND), I've seen better legs on a kangaroo! w00t

I've got the page linked direct to the Forum to keep up on the news. Guess I need to look at the home page more often! Chuck
By Jim - 18 Years Ago
Ya, when you go direct to the forums, the website does not know that you were there so the counter does not increment.  I do know that there are a lot of the gang that goes directly to the forums so we actually should be at many more hits on the counter than we are presently showing.

And as you have discovered, you will sometimes miss some "goodies" that I put on the home page!

And no, it wasn't Lon wanting to show off his legs, but it was someone VERY close to him Hehe

Jim:

If it was that wonderful lady who accompanies him to EXPO, she needs to know we're proud of her for sending the pics, and that we still all love her.

Lynne

Hi Lynne:

I remember Lon telling me the story of the waitress in Missouri that thought it was a long drive from Australia.  Maybe he should fly this time.  We don't know what he is guilty of, but we all hope he overcomes his guilt and the two of you can make it.  The Nationals wouldn't be the same without you two.

John

John

He is feeling guilty due to the fact he has been to Columbus for the last 3 years,  I want him to go this year, Lon has one passion ( besides me) & thats Y-blocks & the Y-block family. Besides I think it is time he won a race.

Take care

Lynne

By Jim - 18 Years Ago
I agree that it is time he won.  In fact, I will personally speak to Rob to "throw" the race so that Lon can win!
By MoonShadow - 18 Years Ago
Yeah, I'll even let him beat me (If I ever get past the first round). You guys would surely be missed! Chuck
By Canadian Hot Rodder - 18 Years Ago
Lynne,

I appreciate the nice comments and you guys will be extremely  missed at Columbus.  Crying As far as me throwing the race to help heal Lon's pride, well I guess I can be bought for the right price Wink ( Mummeret short block, stroker kit would be nice, nudge, nudge)! Anything to help a friend, just don't tell Lon, we wouldn't want him to know that the ONLY way he can beat me is if someone fixes the race. Whistling

Lynne:

Lon is so lucky to have a wife who supports him so passionately in his hobby.  Bless you, you are a prize indeed.  I know of what I speak, my wife did not object to me going to a drag race without her, 6 hours away, on our wedding anniversary.  Actually I was gone 3 days, the day before, the day of, and the day after our anniversary.  She's a prize also.

John

By MoonShadow - 18 Years Ago
Can't say I have a bad wife either. She's already talking about my trip to Ohio. BUT she drew the line at Carlisle. Our anniversary is the 4th of June. After the first year she "suggested" I not go there again. ChuckWink

Thank you all for the kind words about Lynne. The guilt I am having is the fact that since returning from Columbus last year I have had 2 Y blocks rebuilt at a total cost of $%^@# ???.

John, we all know the Canadians are fair game to poke fun at. However, you are NOT allowed to set traps or baits for them  Quote "I thought Lon should have been thumped with a nightstick, What do you think, Rob".  I would rather lose to Rob than buy my way to a win.

Rob, Does John Mummert have your address? What color do you want the motor painted ??

Regards

(Honest) Lon

By Canadian Hot Rodder - 18 Years Ago
Hey Lon Buddy!

Don't worry about colour, I can paint that stroker motor myself! BigGrin I hate to see your pride get hurt anymore than I have already destroyed it. Just get Mummeret to build me that new motor and I will make sure you cross the finish line first! (I'll even put an alarm clock in Bob's car so you don't fall asleep at the starting line again!) Wink As for my address, should I forward it to you or directly to John Mummeret? Since you are going to all this trouble for a win, I'll be gracious enough to pick-up the freight. Cool

Rob

O.K. Lon,

I think we need to bring the Northern Hemisphere guys up to speed, Not sure on the laws up there guys, but down under Sheep bothering is still illegal and a chargeable offence... I read in a local newspaper that a local Brisbane man had been arrested for Sheep bothering and had fled the scene in a 56 Ford Victoria matching the descriptionof Lons ride.

Upon arrest and questioning the man had taken advantage of the poor sheep whom had its head stuck in a fence, the man was accompanied by a Canadian gentleman who asked if he too was allowed a turn and this was granted by his australian friend. The arresting officer released both the sheep and the canadian from the fence upon arrest of the australian man.

I know that us Southern Hemisphere Y blockers should stick together, But since we beat you in the cricket I cant resist...LOL

Regards

You can't even pick on me correctly Tongue at least MoonShadow knows how to spell.
