I'm changing the oil pan gasket on my 55 Ford Fairlane V8 272, a description note said the #1 cylinder must be top and center to get the pan off.

How do you make sure the #1 cylinder is top and center?

Having the TDC mark at 11:30-12:00 O'Clock position will get you close to this.

I think maybe 1 complete turn would get the crank back to pretty much the same place it was! Tongue
