Not necessarily a Y Block question.  Having a vapor lock issue on my son's 67 mustang with 390 and edelbrock manifold and carb.  Seems to be occuring in the metal line that runs from the carb to the fuel line.  Only has an original style mechanical fuel pump.  Would an electric pump help the situation?  Have a metal carb spacer so that probably doesn't help.  Can insulate the line but that looks like garbage.  As you could imagine it is very warm under the hood of the car.

Sorry for non Yblock question, but this is easily the best forum for getting good answers from experienced guys.

PS:  making progress on Tbird hope to have on the road this fall.

Rex,

In a word, yes. Even better would be a pusher pump (electric) at the tank, with a regulator and recirculating line back to the tank. This will continuosly keep returning hot fuel back to the tank and allowing cooler fuel temps at the carb. Replace or insulate the carb with a fiber spacer. BB Mustangs were notorious for this, I had one. w00t
