I have tried heating the muffler and I have tried a BFH, now it has been sprayed with Kroil which almost always works but was wondering what others have done to get stuck exhaust off?
It is the muffler that I am trying to get out.

If the end of the muffler is inside the front pipe and there was a clamp on it, it is almost impossible to remove the muffler without hurting the pipe because the clamp compressed both the pipe and muffler together, probably forming a ridge, however slight.
The only thing that I could suggest is to cut the muffler off near the end of the pipe and then grind the inside of the muffler stub until you have ground away enough for it to collapse.

It seems like I've seen a tool just for that. It clamps on each side of the joint. You turn some screws and it separates the pipe.

I bought a tool like you describe years ago. It didn't live up to its claims. The best way I know of is put a shiny piece of stainless steel from the cabinet of an old gas dispenser between the pipe and the floor, heat the pipe cherry red and then squirt it with a water hose. If that doesn't work, heat up the the part you don't want and shoot the oxygen to it. Sometimes that is all you can do.

Thanks guys, I got it off today. I used a dremmel with a cut off wheel and just made a nice little slice and then peeled that slice back and it came right off. Got the new muffler on and I am happy.
