I have a 239 and broke the pulley I have another one but it has a balancer on it. It does not fit with the balancer can I just take it off. If not were can I get another one. I have power steering also so it has to be able to fit the other pulley.

As 239’s didn’t come with a harmonic damper (just a pulley), then technically you could remove the damper ring and install the remaining pulley section on the engine if that’s all it takes to have it fit.
I don’t particularly like the idea of running an engine without a harmonic damper but the 239’s were originally delivered this way so I can’t see that it would be a problem in the long run.

Thank you. I would rather run it with it on also but it hits against the front motor mount. I am hoping that with it off it will fit and line up with everything else. If anyone has a pulley that came off a 239 I would be interested in it.

If only Carl was not so eager to junk that 239 in the classifieds a few weeks ago!

Just as a matter of information, you can use the mount off a 55 or 56. It bolts up ok to the 54 frame mount
